TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Permanent - Hybrid - Helsinki, Finland
If you're looking for an opportunity to not only lead exciting projects but also shape the way project management is done in a new and growing business unit, keep reading!
Do you want to be part of a leading Finnish cloud consulting company with a team of highly experienced professionals who excel at building innovative cloud solutions and solve complex technical challenges, all within a low-hierarchy, laid-back, and no-nonsense culture?
This is an unique opportunity to join a new business unit within the company, where you will help shape and define how project management is done, influencing key processes and setting the standard for future projects.
First, let’s cover the basics;
Hybrid work with 2-3 days a week at the office in central Helsinki.
Salary range of 5600 - 7000€ per month, with great benefits.
Travel? Not really, but you can visit seminars, events and international offices as needed (not mandatory by any means).
Company languages are Finnish and English, both required for the job.
What’s in it for you?
- Work on complex Azure projects such as cloud implementations, software development, and cloud security improvements, with Northern and Central European clients across diverse industries.
- Help shape project management practices within this new business unit and contribute to the company’s overall expansion. You'll have the opportunity to define the future direction of project management and the whole company from culture to strategy all while developing your own skills.
- Be part of a company that fosters a community-like atmosphere, where every employee is valued and has the opportunity to make a real difference. You’d always work with a team of your own colleagues, in collaboration with the client (but never as a resource).
- Enjoy a competitive compensation package that includes a strong base salary, attractive performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. Plus, great flexibility to help you balance work and life.
- This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a culture where accountability and responsibility are key - who want to be part of a unique company where people are treated as people, not just resources.

What you’ll be doing:
- Project Management: Lead and manage Azure projects, from cloud implementations to software development, security and more. Projects will vary in size, from large, multi-vendor initiatives to smaller, tailored solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Bridge the gap between development teams, architects, and clients. Effectively communicate technical and business requirements to ensure the project runs as planned.
- Project Portfolio Management: Manage roughly 2-4 projects concurrently, balancing timelines, scope, and client expectations to ensure successful delivery.
- Product Owner & Scrum Master: Take on roles of Product Owner and Scrum Master to drive agile teams. Oversee the backlog, prioritize tasks, and facilitate agile ceremonies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to refining and improving project management practices within this new business unit.
- Sales Support: Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales efforts by providing your expertise in project management and client relationship building.
What we hope you’d bring in:
- Proven project management skills, with experience in software, integration, cloud, and/or data projects.

- Experience working as a Product Owner and Scrum Master in agile environments.

- Strong technical and business understanding to communicate effectively with both development teams, software and cloud architects and clients.

- Fluency in Finnish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, balancing priorities and stakeholders.

- High level of drive, accountability and independence.
Must haves:
- Previous experience in technical project management, preferably 5+ years in combination with other relevant experiences. Don’t worry about the number of years you’ve worked—what matters most is the depth of your experience. So, even if your background is a bit different, we still want to hear from you!

- Strong technical understanding.

- Ability and drive to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Haves:
- Previous experience in a consulting environment or managing multiple projects simultaneously.

We’ll review your application within two business days and get in touch to schedule a discussion to take place via Google Meet, Teams, phone, or WhatsApp. If the job is posted anonymously, we’ll share the company name right away. Before the chat, we’ll send a brief summary of the topics we’ll cover so you can prepare. If your profile doesn’t match the job requirements, we’ll provide feedback and give you a chance to share any additional details. During our first discussion, we’ll first walk you through the job details, company culture, and key requirements, so you know what to focus on. Next, we’ll learn about you – your work history, skills, motivations, and career goals – to ensure we understand what drives you. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the conversation. We’ll then share our feedback on how well your skills and ambitions align with the opportunity, and together we’ll decide whether to move forward in the process. If there are any concerns, we’ll address them and give you the chance to share your thoughts. Finally, we’ll discuss your salary expectations, availability, and any other requirements.

Before your first interview with the client, we’ll provide key information about the process, tips for preparation, recommended blog posts, and more to help you succeed. The client interview, held at their centrally located office in Helsinki, will last about 1.5 hours. It will be an open, informative discussion where you'll talk about your career, skills, and motivation, and learn more about the job, challenges, opportunities, and company culture. You’ll meet two potential colleagues who have previously worked in the same position, among other roles.
2nd - Assignment
As the next step, you'll move into the Assignment stage which is conducted at their office. It's a straight forward project management task you won't need to do much for on your personal time.
3rd - Final interview
The last step of the interview process is a meeting with the CEO and another colleague to thoroughly discuss the company culture and values.
